The 220SE model was introduced in 1961, at the opening of the Daimler-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, during the company’s 75th anniversary celebration. The model bore different proportions from the sedan model and cleaner lines. Moreover, it has column-less side windows and curved contour front and rear windshields, features that give the car a new refined aesthetic.
